Life Changer

The life changer :
Those were the days when I used travel in my bike alone and explore the city. Staying near Camp, Pune and travelling down to places like Bhosari, Pimpri, Chinchwad, Baner, Aundh and so on.. No way !! But I did it and I was a pro at it.
Life on a bike had a different connotation altogether. Now sitting in my AC office & travelling in my office cab (rather by compulsion) I wonder how I did ? Hardly been a year or two old in Pune; I had no fears, no inhibitions and no hesitation in doing so. But all this didn’t come to me naturally. There was a lot of making into this. I remember there were days even when I would think and think over a thought before finally giving into what my dad would say it right. When I first shifted to Pune, I was so reluctant every time to be on my own. But that one incident changed it all. It was one such rainy day when I was walking down the road after office looking for an auto. No umbrella, drenched in the rain, I kept taking small shelters under trees to make frantic calls to my husband asking him to pick me up from where I was. It was raining heavily and it just didn’t seem to stop. After several interrupted calls, he finally told me that he will not be able to make it as he was busy. And the rains were so excessive that I was hardly getting an auto. I was treading through the drenched road and taking shelters in between the trees to skip the rain. Finally, an auto stopped at my gesture. What a fine guy ! I thought to myself and indeed a fine person he was. He didn’t charge me anything extra as the other auto guys would do and even dropped me at my home safe and sound. Humanity exists, I thought ! Filled with gratitude, I thanked him enough even after paying his fare. Totally drenched and rather in somber mood I entered my flat and woke up to be a much stronger person thereafter. Coming from a small town, I have always been dependent on my dad for every small thing. But nothing like learning a lesson for life the hard way ! Because it stays with you that way.
After that, life has never been the same for me. I have never been fearful to venture into unknown places. And getting a bike added adventure to my excursions. Our strength lies within us. It just needs a jerk and we are right there at it.

A Miracle called Life !!

Life in all its uncertainties,  Left me perplexed… From the time we are born,  To the time we gain our senses,  From the time we go heretic,...
